Owen is the President and CFO of TUUSSO Energy, a developer of utility-scale photovoltaic solar plants. In this role, he is responsible for setting corporate strategy, development of strategic partnerships, fundraising and corporate governance. Prior to co-founding TUUSSO, Owen served technology companies at McKinsey and Company, focusing on corporate-finance and strategy issues. Owen’s professional experience includes operational, financial, and management roles in the high-tech and energy sectors, at Intel Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton’s Energy Practice, and a privately-funded wireless company where he had Board-level responsibility for corporate restructuring. Owen has an MBA from the University of Chicago, a BSc in Finance from Santa Clara University, and is a Member of the Board of Directors for TUUSSO Energy.

Jason Evans
General Counsel & Vice President of Business Development
As General Counsel for TUUSSO, Jason is deeply involved in all aspects of development that touch on legal issues, including land contract, offtake agreement and interconnection agreement negotiations; permitting and entitlements; and project financing. In his Business Development role, Jason evaluates new market opportunities, and helps TUUSSO identify and develop strategic financing and supply relationships. Before TUUSSO, Jason spent two years at Western Digital, a leading computer storage manufacturer, managing and growing a portfolio of 200+ patents, negotiating in- and out-licenses, and overseeing work from numerous law firms. He also has four years of law firm experience representing early-stage and mature companies in intellectual property and contract issues. Jason has a JD from the University of Chicago and a BA in Physics from Pomona College.

Vice President of Operations
Vivek has over 10 years of strategy, business development and product management experience in the renewable energy, technology and management consulting sectors. As VP of Operations at TUUSSO, Vivek is responsible for development of internal processes, strategic sourcing and all aspects of engineering and design activities, ranging from preliminary design for permitting and interconnection to EPC and vendor selection and associated contract negotiations. Before TUUSSO, he worked in business development and operational roles at Intellectual Ventures, Bain & Company and Dassault Systemes. Vivek has an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay.

As VP of Project Origination, Byron is responsible for ensuring that TUUSSO’s project pipeline reflects the company’s near-term outlook on utility-scale PV opportunities. Byron is responsible for market demand forecasting, site and/or project acquisition efforts, and project level co-development and financing arrangements. Before TUUSSO, Byron focused on early stage strategy and operations at Noon Solar and Washing Pond Ventures. He spent nine years in various operational and finance roles for firms in the healthcare and consumer products spaces. Byron has an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MLIR from Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations and a BA in Economics from Rutgers College.
